For many, Labor Day marks the last hoorah of summer. After that, children go back to school and the routine of everyday life falls back into place. If you want to end summer with a bang, here are some fun Labor Day weekend festivities that are occurring in Los Angeles this year by hotels on Sunset Strip.

For some, nothing could be better than a weekend of enjoying some of the best food and wine that the city has to offer. If this sounds like you, then The Taste, sponsored by The Los Angeles Times is just for you. Through September 2nd through the 4th, there are a number of activities that you can participate in. For example, on Saturday, September 3rd, from 11am-2pm there is Field to Fork: an opportunity to try out delicious foods inspired by local California crops from some of the best chefs in Los Angeles. If you don’t know which event to choose, consider going to the Sunday Block Party from 11am-2pm. For more information about The Taste, visit www.events.latimes.com/taste
