The Hollywood Museum has a lot to offer. So much in fact that sometimes it can be difficult to see it all on your own. If you want to have a more in-depth experience of the museum, you can sign up for a guided tour. During your guided tour, you will be led by experienced and knowledgeable guides that will give you behind the scenes information about some of the more popular exhibits and more. For more information about booking a guided tour, call 323-464-7770. Note that there is a 3 day advance reservation required. If you’re worried you’ll need more than one day to see everything make sure to book your room at Dunes Inn Sunset Los Angeles.

The building that now houses the Hollywood Museum was actually originally owned by Max Factor, the legendary makeup artist the biggest stars of the Hollywood Golden age. S. Charles Lee, designed the building in the Hollywood regency art deco style, which was very popular at the time. For the first time, at the Max Factor building, women from all around were able to stop by this public place for make-up needs. At the Hollywood Museum, see authentically restored make-up rooms that would have looked like the real rooms Max Factor used. See where Marilyn Monroe became a blonde and much more. The Hollywood Museum is located at 1660 Highland Ave in Hollywood. Visit www.thehollywoodmuseum.com for more information.
