The Natural History Museum prides itself on protecting over 35 million specimens that date back 4.5 billion years. With over 10 permanent exhibits and 4 rotating exhibits, there is always something new and interesting to discover. Some of the permanent exhibits are on subjects such as dinosaurs, the age of mammals, gems and minerals as well as a special exhibit on the history of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the Western United States. Their collection of art spans a wide range of time from Greek and Roman art to modern and contemporary art. The museum also boasts some of the largest collections of American and Latin American art, Asian art, Islamic art and an extensive photography section.
