Silverlake is an up and coming area of Los Angeles known for its trendy boutiques and hipsters hanging out in cafes. So it might not be a surprise that they have some pretty great shopping opportunities as well. One great option is the Berda Paradise Thrift Shop. First, it should be mentioned that this is not your typical thrift store. From the designer name clothes to the stop-shelf home goods, all the items at the store are carefully chosen. You’ll find great deals here for items that will otherwise cost you a pretty penny. Search the racks and you’ll be sure to walk away with some hidden treasures. If you are on the search for some vintage dresses, look no further than Shareen Vintage in downtown Los Angeles. This store is strictly for the girls, there is even a sign outside that says no boys allowed. So bring all your gal pals and get ready for a fantastic shopping experince. Here, you’ll find dresses from nearly every decade in the 20th century. However, most of what you will find is from the 50s through the 80s. Shareen Vintage is located at 1721 N. For many, when you think thrift shop, you probably don’t think Melrose Ave. However, Melrose Ave. does do their own version of a thrift shop. Exhibit A is a store called Decades. This is consignment shop that offers vintage and designer dresses. In fact, here you can find dresses that are glamorous for a red carpet appearance. Don’t forget, you are on Melrose so don’t expect typical thrift store prices. However, getting a dress from Prada or Louboutin for under $300 sounds like something we can get used to.
