There’s nothing quite like adventuring in a city during the summertime. Lucky for you, Los Angeles is chalk full of fun experiencing during the summer. Check out some of these exciting events that are taking place in LA this summer.
Head to Chinatown for their exciting summer series, Chinatown Summer Nights. During the last Saturdays during the summer months, Chinatown will host an exciting block party located at the central plaza in Chinatown. Here, you can enjoy live music thanks to DJs from 89.9 KCRW as well as delicious food trucks that will be located near the event. Enjoy cultural activities, asian cooking demonstrations and other forms of live entertainment. Don’t forget to spend some time at the beer garden!
This summer, head to Griffith Park and enjoy FREE Shakespeare plays at the park. The plays are performed at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and a picnic dinner to enjoy during the show. This year, the Independent Shakespeare Co. will be performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream from June 30th through September 2nd and Titus Andronicus from July 28th through September 1st.
Do you love food? Do love taking instagram photos of food? If so, you’re going to want to head to the 626 Night Market located at the Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia. Here, you’ll find food trucks featuring delicious eats that are insta worthy as well. Be sure to come hungry as there will be plenty of food trucks to fill you up. There will also be food, games, performances and arts and crafts vendors!
Want to mix time outdoors, food trucks, botanical tours and hands on science projects? Well now you can! Get ready for Summer Nights in the Garden located at the Natural History Museum. Enjoy the Nature Gardens located at the Natural History Museum and sip on garden-infused cocktails while checking out the various exhibits. The event takes place Fridays on June 29th, July 13th, July 27th and August 10th from 5-9pm.
