No matter your musical taste, you can always find a live show playing somewhere in Los Angeles. Hollywood is especially known for the number of venues that are sprinkled throughout the city. Here are some music venues where you can catch a great concert in Hollywood during your stay at the Duness Inn Sunset.

The Hollywood Palladium is one of the oldest music venues in Hollywood and it’s very first performer was none other than Frank Sinatra. Despite its historical significance, it still remains a great venue that pull big names. For example, after the venue closed for repairs, it reopened in 2008 with a headlining show by Jay-Z. Here, you’ll find a mix of A-list stars and emerging talent. Visit for more information.

The Troubadour tends to be a favorite venue for locals and visitors alike. While it is large enough to give off an authentic rock-show feel, it is still small enough to offer intimate performances. While it isn’t rare for local talent to perform here, big name stars such as Coldplay and Prince still regularly perform here as well. At the Troubadour, you can expect great acoustics and talented tacts nearly every night. To see who is scheduled to perform, visit

The Roxy Theatre is a small and intimate venue that is often home to high energy rock concerts. With such an intimate venue, expect to feel like you are a part of the show and get swept away with the pulse of the crowd. The Roxy Theatre also has a penchant for booking singer-songwriters, so if you’re looking for a slower kind of night, this venue can provide it. Head over to for their calendar of events.

The Viper Room is more of a tourist destination than a venue, but despite this, the music is still good. The Viper Room became famous in the 90s after Johnny Depp purchased the venue and turned it into a hang out for the hottest Hollywood stars. While you might not be able to catch a glimpse of a celebrity anymore, you can enjoy lively sets from an eclectic variety of artists. Check out their calendar to see which artists are scheduled to perform at

If you are a fan of artists such as Alice Cooper, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, the Velvet Underground, the Ramones, Blondie, Van Halen, the Germs, Guns N Roses and Motley Crue, you’re going to want to see a show at Whisky a Go-Go just for its history. All of these artists, and many others either got their start here or performed here when they were already famous. To get a chance to see the next break out artists before they get big, this venue is a must. If you are coming to see a concert at one of these venues, there are plenty of Hotels in Hollywood with affordable rates.
